Executive Summary

Makita is a company with more than 100 years of history in the manufacture of industrial tools, originally founded in Nagoya, Japan. In March 1999 they arrived in our country as Makita Chile and since 2021 they decided to digitize the process of their expense statements together with Rindegastos.

 

Alfonso Lara has been part of the Makita Chile team for 5 years and today he is the Administration and Finance Manager, being responsible for controlling the financial operation of the company throughout Chile. Currently, approximately 50 collaborators they are using Rindegastos.

How did Makita Chile find Rindegastos?

“It happened to me that I listened to them on the radio. They had some very nice commercials where I listened to a dialogue with which we felt identified”, Alfonso tells us.

 

At Makita Chile, they have field personnel in different parts of the country dedicated to demonstrating their products. To manage their reimbursements, they had to follow a cumbersome process, physically keeping receipts and receipts that, due to internal audit issues, They had to send it to the central office so that a person could dedicate themselves to processing the information and entering it into the system.

Reports “on the go” and with greater control

“The expense reporting operation changed radically for the better.“ Alfonso adds that thanks to Rindegastos, currently both renderers and approvers use the mobile application to render and review their expenses through their cell phones, saving time and optimizing well their daily tasks.

 

“Authorizations are given very easily and the whole process is very fast. The person can make their rendition on the fly. For example, in restaurant renditions before, the collaborators often told me“they didn't give me the detail“. Now just by taking a photo of the order, we can have greater control and detail about who attended and what they consumed.

Another of the advantages that they saw in Makita Chile over the platform is that all the information on the collaborator's spending is read directly from the app, so it is also possible to avoid errors.

Go green

Concerned about ecology, Makita Chile has decided to remove their combustion engines, changing them to electric and wireless motors. Currently all their products work based on batteries and with the same type you can use up to 360 different products.

 

Rindegastos allows the elimination of paper returns and the unnecessary saving of receipts and receipts, considering that the Internal Revenue Service now authorizes having receipts of expenses in a 100% digital way, according to Official Letter No. 1645.

 

“We are very concerned about the ecological part”, adds Alfonso. And thanks to Rindegastos they also collaborate with saving paper and optimizing resources, both for the company and for the environment.

Results

In less than a year since the incorporation of Rindegastos, Makita Chile is very happy with the results, making processes that were previously complicated and unnecessary waste of time easy and fast.
